This is the Ulu (Hawaiian)or Breadfruit. It is a watercolor I finshed the last day of 2010. The Baby Ulu fruit stands upright toward the sun, as it matures it will hang as most fruit. This painting was done at the hot ponds on the Big Island of Hawaii

The Breadfruit tree in the Hawaiian Language is Ulu. This was painted by Vincent on site in the bright afternoon light. This is in a private collection. The medium is watercolor on Arches 300lb paper.

This banana is found in on the Big Island of Hawaii and is known by the name Apple Banana. I found this one in the jungle on the side of the volcano. It was painted on site. Watercolor class May 2008

Aloha Everyone! This is one of my May 2008 Watercolor classes in Hilo Hawaii. We have been painting with a view of the pacific right outside the class window. Incredible. The class members are the best students to date. They are presently beginning there first actual paintings. And I am organising a show at one of the many art galleries in Hilo.
Our classes are open to anyone, including beginning and advanced students. If you are ever in Hilo and wish to join call Vincent at 808-557-1270 for info.
We have affordable accomidations available, and offer many different interests in the watercolor medium. Including on site (plaineir) ocean and tropical lanscapes. Not to mention beginning classes in a oceanside setting. Looking forward to meeting you!
